- 5 Steps of e-Paperwork for LMV Trips (LMV Members)
- Single-Step Sign Up for LMV Affiliates (e.g. dental students to Oasis)
- Trip Coordinators area
- general for all trip types (clone action list, dues current?, registration/waivers in?, expenses paid?)
- Oasis Trip Planning (incl. staffing-by-day)
- International Trip Planning (incl. travel, financials, lodging)
- added Village links (e.g. from Trip button) for:
- weather at village
- recent clinics (i.e. Trip Reports) for that village
- implemented easier ability to Send Email to Members
- International chapter payments (dues, trip expenses) now on PayPal (joining Bay Area, High Sierra, and Reno)
LMV Databases -- enhancements and status
- usage of LMV databases:
- Trip Planning: all chapters using for all upcoming trips
- Trip Reports: usage up in all chapters, although could be submitted more quickly following trip
- Trip Registration: vast majority of travelers now registering online
- Trip Waivers: all now being submitted online
- Roster Database: most chapters need to update membership status (active, inactive) and dues status (paid on, paid via)
Database Statistics
The following statistics are extracted in realtime from the LMV online databases:
Traffic to flyingdocs.org
- traffic peaks a bit in the wintertime; but generally trending up +15%/year
- decent average time on site (holding at about 4 minutes average)
- visits from all US states, 77 Mexican cities, and 133 countries
Facebook Page Status
- fan base has grown steadily to now 505 fans
- 73% of fans are under 45 years old
- now targeting 750... ratio of total fans to members should be ~2:1... tell your friends, and their friends!
Future Efforts
- Ongoing: Chapters requested to update Roster Database to reflect membership status (active, inactive) and dues status (paid on, paid via) -- please STOP using local spreadsheets and maintain your roster ONLY online
- Chapters strongly encouraged to implement (Gold Country) and emphasize (all chapters) payments (dues, trip expenses) via PayPal >> big benefits in dues renewals (they auto-renew) and reduced effort chasing down renewals
- Suggest exclusive use of online facilities for:
- Trip Waitlist & Planning
>> benefit = all trip members know status of team selection, itinerary, action list - Trip Registration/Waivers
>> benefit = easier than hand carrying paper forms; more secure (only webmaster and pilot have access to personal data) - Trip Report & Reimbursement; Per Diem
>> benefit = easier than snail-mailing paper reports and checks; automatically capture clinic metrics
